Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Presentation of Our Offerings                        “We Are An Offering”

 We lift our voices; we lift our hands,

We lift our lives up to you: we are an offering.

Lord, use our  voices; Lord, use our hands;

Lord, use our lives; they are yours: we are an offering.

All that we have, all that we are,

All that we hope to be we give to you, we give to you.

We lift our voices, we lift our hands,

We lift our lives up to you:

We are an offering, we are an offering..

  Prayer of Dedication                          (Scifres & Beu, The Abingdon Worship Annual)

Merciful God,  we thank you for the many ways that gifts are offered in your service; we especially thank you for fathers and elders whose love and wisdom have touched our lives and our church.  Help the elders among  us nurture the young in our midst, just as Saul took a chance on young David.  Help the young among us honor their elders, even as they are true to their own callings.  Accept our gifts, we pray, and bless now this morning’s offerings, that we might do your will in this place and in all the world. Amen.
