     "Change is fun!”  Yeah, right!  Nobody likes change.  Not really.  Oh, yeah we know all the clichés' about change being an opportunity, or change being the antithesis of death...but no one really likes to change. That's not to say that people don't want things to be different.  To be better.  That's not to say that people don't want to escape the doldrums or to break out of their routines.  We do.  Many of us want things to be different and better, as long as we don't have to change anything.  Well, sorry, it doesn't work that way.  We can't have it both ways.  We can't have everything stay the same and change at the same time.  So, we must decide to have one or the other.   At ERUMC, we have decided to change. 

     We, at ERUMC, are changing.    Because we want things to be different and better, we are changing our worship, changing our attitudes, and changing our routines.  Our worship service is becoming more of a wonderful combination of the traditional and the contemporary.  In this way, our worship creates an atmosphere that invites the power and presence of the Holy Spirit into our worship and into ourselves.  Our attitudes are changing as we encourage each other with words and actions that increase the flow of acceptance and love among our community of faith.  Our routines are changing to allow for more Spirit-led spontaneity.  

     No, the change, at times, has not been easy or comfortable.  But, we are determined to do what needs to be done and to change what needs to be changed in order to experience the wonders and blessings that our God has in store for us.   If you’re ready for a change in your life, you are warmly invited to come, change, and grow with us.
