Worship New

We, at ERUMC, believe that worship creates an environment where the congregation, individually and corporately, can encounter the Risen Lord in a personal way. We believe that worship is our offering of praise to God and that God is the focus of worship. We believe that worship does not have to be ‘stuffy’ in order to be sacred and that worship should be life-affirming and life-enhancing not life-draining.

We combine the beauty of traditional liturgy with the excitement of contemporary Spirit-led spontaneity. We sing hymns of worship written by the ancient fathers as well as songs of praise written by some of the most inspiring modern day songwriters. If you come to worship wearing your jeans and tee shirt, you won’t be alone but if want to wear your suit and tie, you won’t be alone there, either.

Children's Message

During each worship service, there is a time set aside to minister specifically to the children. We call this our ‘Children’s Message’. After the ‘Children’s Message’, the children are escorted to a worship experience, designed specifically for the children, to be taught and monitored by ‘safe sanctuary’ trained teachers. You may, of course, choose to have your children remain in the sanctuary with you. There is, also, available an equipped nursery for infants and smaller children.

Our children's choir practices every other Sunday and performs during service each month.

Bible Study

Lectionary Bible Study..... Thursday Evenings 6 pm in the Basement Study.
